EFOIL LESSON DESCRIPTION

EFoiling is much easier to learn than kitefoiling, wingfoiling and wakefoiling and is the safest pre-requisite to these disciplines. This 2 hour eFoiling course will cover basic operations, handling and safety of your eFoil. In the first half hour, we will simulate the motions of getting on the board on land, followed by the controlling the throttle control on the water while getting up from your stomach to your knees, then feet and foil.

What is provided?

You will be provided with a floatation vest and radio helmet to communicate with your instructor. Wetsuits can also be provided if needed.

What you should bring?

The most important items to bring are full wetsuits and booties in case you fall on or kick the foil. This provides an extra layer of protection. If you do not have these items, you can either buy or a rent a wetsuit for your lesson. Please also bring a water bottle, a swimsuit, sun protection and towel.

Is it easy or hard to learn?

Everyone learns at a different rate, but learning to actually foil can be quite easy.

Where are lessons and training offered?

Most of our lessons are in St. Joseph / Benton Harbor, MI and Waukegan/Zion IL but for an extra $100 charge we will be willing to drive up to 2 hourS away or to Chicago. Even though we mostly do Lake Michigan efoiling, we also do Indiana efoiling, Chicago efoiling, Paw Paw Lake efoiling, Gull Lake efoiling, Pine Lake efoiling, Wolf Lake efoiling, Macatawa Lake efoiling and Spring Lake efoiling.

How many people can I take a lesson with?

Depending on location, ideally we can do up to 4 students but only 2-3 students at a time. Each person will get at least 1 hour of water time as we only have one instructor wit 2 E-foils in the Northeast Illinois area and 3 efoils for lessons in Southwest Michigan/ NW Indiana area.
